Craig Leon is an NCAA Compliance Specialist who graduated from Ohio University with a B.S.Ed. (’07) in Integrated Language Arts Education and with a dual M.S. (’09) in Athletic Administration and Coaching Education. Prior to relocating to Oregon, he served as the Director of Compliance and Assistance Cross Country/Track and Field coach for two years with the Ohio University athletic department.
In addition to working with SCI, Mr. Leon also competes as a professional distance runner, is a member of Team Run Eugene, and is sponsored by Mizuno. Some of his career accomplishments include finishing in 10th place at the 2013 Boston Marathon, 20th at the 2012 Chicago Marathon, as well as competing in the 2012 US Olympic Marathon trials. His marathon personal best time is 2:14:38.
Mr. Leon specializes in issues related to intercollegiate athletics, compliance, educational theory, and research.
